Google Software Engineer, Privacy Sandbox in Kraków, Poland
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience with Chromium or web browser development.
Experience working on large-scale distributed systems.

The team's mission is to preserve web and app functionality while seamlessly transitioning to a privacy-first future. This requires significant investments into both products - Android and Chrome.
The Privacy Sandbox initiative aims to create technologies that both protect people's privacy online and give companies and developers tools to build thriving digital businesses. Our team is dedicated to strengthening the Web and Android platform against tracking and fingerprinting, while also developing new privacy-preserving APIs to support personalization and measurement on the web. We are committed to collaborating with stakeholders in the industry to develop and implement viable, alternative solutions in a way that protects the privacy of users while also ensuring the continued vitality of the web.
Write and test product or system development code.
Design and build web compatibility tools, techniques, and mitigations to help websites adapt to evolving web privacy standards, including the adoption of new anti-covert tracking technologies.
Design and build Android compatibility infrastructure to help mitigate and fix user breakages.
Analyze and troubleshoot real-world, user-facing issues caused by changes in web privacy technologies.
Track the adoption of new technologies and measure their impact on web compatibility.
