Position Information:

This position is responsible for providing technical support to assess the manufacturability for Continuous Product Improvement (NSI/CPI) projects, from concept/design through all the steps of assembly.  This includes providing guidance and leadership at the operations level, in coordination with the Value Stream Team (VST), in a manner to ensure our products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.

This position will work alongside the Manufacturing NPI process to maintain alignment on manufacturing changes and ensure the successes and lessons learned from NSI/CPI/NPI programs are captured within the manufacturing space. This position will also provide limited Manufacturing Engineering shop support, which may include assisting in process development, tooling design, FMEA analysis, and more.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline or 8 years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency with MS Office; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

  • Can establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Have working knowledge of FMEA's, SPC, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Error Proofing, and Root Cause Analysis

  • 3+ years’ progressive project and/or process improvement experience

  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project planning skills

Responsibilities :

  • Support of current process, production and component process changes are in scope.

  • Provide capital forecasting correlation and reporting as it relates to CPI, capacity increases, equipment and/or systems replacement, and methods and/or process improvement.

  • Other activities include participating in 6 Sigma initiatives, strategy development, and supporting cost reduction goals.
