Xylem Diesel Field Service Technician in Lake City, Florida

Xylem is looking for a Diesel Field Service Technician to report to service our pumps at customer sites.
What your day will look like as a Diesel Field Service Technician
The Diesel Field Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our pumps, and their corresponding electrical and mechanical components, both on-site and at various customer sites throughout North FL and South GA. Equipment phone support will also be a part of the Field Service Technician's role. Equipment specific training will be provided, but applicants with previous experience working with industrial or commercial mechanical and electrical equipment, including familiarity with PLCs, are especially encouraged to apply.
This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

Position Requirements for Diesel Field Service Technicians
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A valid driver’s license in good standing.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR check, and DOT physical.
Experience with Tier 4 diesel engine repairs and maintenance preferred
Medium voltage experience a plus (4160V)
Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues
3+ years working knowledge and experience with diesel engine repairs and emission control systems
Thorough understanding of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance
Advanced knowledge of DC electric and circuit testing skills
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment
Familiarity with engine diagnostic tools
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily travel- home daily.
The estimated salary range for this position is $26/hr-$33/hr. Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. Actual starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
