Pierce College Fiscal Analyst 2 - Accounts Receivable in Lakewood, Washington

*Are you ready to take charge of third-party billing and contribute to the financial integrity of an award-winning institution? * The Fiscal Analyst 2 - Accounts Receivable serves as the primary contact for all non-student 3^rd^ party billing. This position reports to the Fiscal Budget Manager and works independently to perform various general accounting functions. Duties include facilitating drawing down financial aid reimbursements, analyzing and correcting discrepancies, reviewing quarterly enrollment reports and billing school districts for running start fees. The Fiscal Analyst 2 reports to the Fiscal Budget Manager, requires regular and consistent attendance and may be eligible for up to two (2) days of remote work once the position is fully established.

::: {dir="auto"} Billing

  • Review and process all 3rd party/non-student billing requests for the District, ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Generate, submit, and post invoices within the ctcLink Finance module, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies, maintain customer account information, and manage billing-related technical support tickets.
  • Process off-campus Work-Study billing.
  • Review quarterly Running Start enrollment reports and bill school districts for associated fees. :::

General Accounting

  • Review, analyze, and interpret agency accounting and financial records and reports; identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Develop fiscal queries or reports for existing fiscal databases to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing monthly drawdowns of financial aid reimbursements from the Department of Education and the State of Washington.
  • Support the Fiscal Budget Manager with general ledger transactions as needed.
  • Assist with year-end reconciliation of State Agency Accounts Receivable to ensure financial accuracy.

Teamwork

  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Fiscal Budget Manager, Director of Fiscal Operations, or Associate Vice President of Fiscal Services.
  • Assist in the annual preparation of records for archival to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

Required Education:

The qualified candidate will have one (1) *or more *of the following experiences and/or education:  

  • Some college-level coursework including at least 15 quarter or 10 semester hours in Accounting, Business or related field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent* *work experience in business, accounting, bookkeeping or other related fields. For this requirement, the equivalent work experience is considered to be six (6) months.

Applicable Coursework includes:

Finance*|Accounting| Business | Statistics|or *Related field 

Education to Experience Equivalences:

Associate Degree = 2 years | Bachelor's Degree = 4 years | Master's Degree = 5 years

Required Experience:

One year of professional experience with budget coding systems,

One year of professional experience reviewing, processing, and submitting third-party billing
