Whole Foods Market Distribution Center Systems Integrator - Full Time in Landover, Maryland

Job DescriptionThe Facilities Systems Integrator is responsible for managing the Local PC network. Provides helpdesk support to DC users regarding Microsoft applications, as well as Whole Foods Market programs such as Peoplesoft, Orderlink, the Warehouse Management Systems (EXE).Responsibilities

  • Manage local PC network, Printer, Fork Computer Units, Handheld scanners, and Voice units.

  • Set up new Windows and EXE users and associates with ERP software, determine security levels for users.

  • Act as the facility “help-desk” and liaison to the Central Help Desk and Server team.

  • Be “on call” in the event there is a major disruption to the facility’s network

  • Maintain and modify Microsoft Access programs.

  • Purchase and maintain Smart Cell phones.

  • Run Reports on weekly or daily basis.

  • Perform regular PC Maintenance including virus updates and software upgrades.

  • Work with the Server Team to coordinate testing of patches and fixes to PeopleSoft, Orderlink and EXE.

  • Manage and maintain system equipment such as label printers and equipment supplies.

  • Train and support all Team Members on phone usage, Microsoft Office Programs, PeopleSoft, Orderlink, EXE, Voxware, InfoLink and all ERP software.

  • Maintain appropriate backup library on all local Distribution Center systems.

  • Report all life safety and fire hazards, along with any other violations of company policy, to Team Leader for correction and report all accidents and injuries to Team Leader or Facility Leadership immediately.

  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, Facility Leadership

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 1 year of IT experience. • 2 years of general warehouse knowledge preferred

  • Experience working with character-based emulators such as Tiny Term, Putty

  • Experience working with printers, preferably working with warehouse specific equipment such as selection and receiving label printers.

  • Experience with Account Management relations and systems preferred

  • Experience with Voxware or other voice picking software preferred

  • Ability and desire to learn new systems and technology.

  • Fundamental knowledge of Windows XP.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to troubleshoot log-in and network problems.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking principles.

  • Excellent, comprehensive computer skills.

  • Excellent deductive reasoning and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to multi-task with ease and efficiency.

  • Able to prioritize tasks, as necessary.

  • Ability to follow instructions and established uniform procedures related to duties and responsibilities.

  • Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision.

  • Comply with all applicable health and safety codes

  • Communicate and maintain employee safety and security standards

  • Arrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, work all scheduled shifts, complete required training and attend required meetings.

  • Ability to read and speak basic English

  • Must be 18 years year of age

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Associate Team Leader, Team Leader, and Facility Leadership.

Desired Work Experiences

  • Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. (team lift suggested for weights in excess of 70 lbs.)

  • Work in a cold/wet storage facility environment (ranging from -10 (freezer) to 46 degrees Fahrenheit). General warehouse temps 34-46 degrees, Freezer -10 degrees

  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.

  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, headset.

Availability Requirements:

  • Average shift are 8-10 hours long

  • Ability to be on call in the event there is a major disruption to the facility’s network

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Team Members receive their schedule up to 3 weeks in advance.

The wage range for this position is $22.00 - $30.80 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers “Whole Benefits".
