Insight Global Data Center Technician (OSHA 10 Certified) in Lebanon, Indiana
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Data Center Technician. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of UPS systems, PDUs, and one-line electrical drawings. They should also be familiar with Data Center HVAC systems, including in-row coolers with external condensers, Energy Recovery Ventilators, and dehumidifiers. The candidate must know how to operate an electrical transfer switch, including manually kicking over to a generator set. Additionally, they should understand how environmental and external factors affect IT equipment and the knock-on effects of failures, such as the loss of a power feed. High-level knowledge of cabling types (copper vs. fiber) and connection types is essential. The candidate must have an OSHA 10 certification to enter active construction sites and an OSHA 30 certification to escort others into active construction sites. Experience with facility monitoring is preferred, and the ability to interpret environmental monitoring values is crucial for ensuring optimal data center performance. This is a contract position starting at $40/hr.

Skills and Requirements
Experience working in an enterprise data center environment
OSHA 10 Certification required to enter active construction site
General knowledge of UPS systems, PDUs, and one-line electrical drawings
General knowledge of Data Center HVAC (in-row coolers with condensers outside, Energy Recovery Ventilator operation, dehumidifiers)
Knowledge about how environmental/external factors affect IT equipment, and knock-on effects of a failure (i.e. if we lose 1 power feed, what will IT gear see?)
High level knowledge of cabling types (copper vs fiber, subtypes of fiber) and connection types Experience with facility monitoring
Experience interpreting environmental monitoring values
OSHA 30 Certification required to escort others into active construction site null
