Insight Global OSP Quality Supervisor in Liberty, South Carolina
Job Description
An employer in the Charlotte, NC market is looking for an OSP Quality Inspector to join their team. OSP Quality inspector ensures the quality, safety, and compliance of outside plant (OSP) construction and fiber optic installations. They will conduct field inspections to verify that construction standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements are met throughout a projects lifecycle.
Site Inspections: Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project plans, permits, and safety standards.
Quality Control: Verify the installation of fiber optic cables, poles, duct systems, and conduit pathways meets specifications.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed inspection records, including photos, site reports, and compliance checklists.
Testing & Validation: Conduct random tests on fiber optic systems to ensure proper splicing, alignment, and signal integrity.
Issue Resolution: Identify construction defects or deviations and coordinate corrections with contractors and project managers.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
Prepare necessary records and measure field quantities, conduct field tests and other tests that may be required to determine contractors compliance with contract specifications.
Must prepare detailed and timely reports to document construction progress, inspection and testing results.

Skills and Requirements
3+ years of experience in OSP fiber engineering, construction and installation field
Knowledge of both ariel and burried fiber
Expeirence with performing site inspections
Experience gathering data and creating reports and implement plans for improvements
Experience with fiber quality control for installation
Knowledgeable about of FlexNap and Slick Fiber
Microsoft Suite Proficient
Ability to read and interpret OTDR
Knowledge of acceptable loss and reflection thresholds null
