* Job Description*
The store manager is vital in managing a Retail space that contributes to Alkat Enterprise's success. At Ward Apparel, our team does it all. The store manager is professional, builds lasting relationships with the customer base, and models company standards for the staff.
The store manager controls inventory, determines inventory turns, and manages purchasing needs. Maintaining floor merchandising standards based on performance is critical, and merchandise must be strategically rotated in the store to ensure sales are maximized with inventory on hand. All inventories are automated, so the store manager is responsible for adjusting the inventory levels based on sales and volume of business.
The store manager is expected to become proficient in our Point of Sale software and must train staff accordingly to ensure data accuracy. Ward Apparel has several distribution channels to move merchandise; group sales are among the most important. The manager must have strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail to ensure each customer gets their order efficiently.
The store manager's hours vary based on business volume, something requiring you to stay late or come in early when business is booming or fulfilling an obligation to our customers to ensure long-term business.
This position has a base salary with potentially unlimited sales incentive supplement.

General Sales Floor Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers, modeling a positive customer service spirit, and exhibiting a friendly and helpful attitude with customers and coworkers.
- Answer customer questions regarding products and services; assist customers with buying decisions and customized embroidery options.
- Manage staff on the floor (by example) to ensure excellent store productivity is met while providing exceptional customer service.
- Rotate and display merchandise to maximize store sales performance.
- Ensure the store is always clean and organized, allowing staff to provide an excellent customer service experience.
- Supervise and participate in receiving and of new merchandise from vendors.
- Manage price control measures to ensure merchandise is correctly priced and merchandised for the selling floor.
- Manage asset protection standards of company assets.
- Contribute to team efforts that ensure our staff always maintains a positive and professional demeanor on the floor.
* Administrative Responsibilities*
Store managers must adhere to budgets provided and stay focused on profitability.
Recruit, build, and motivate eligible employees, keeping in mind best retention rate practices. As a store manager, you are responsible for creating and managing your team.
Create, monitor, and manage staff schedules and adjust them as needed based on business demand. The store manager is responsible for promptly reporting biweekly payroll standards, including employee payroll deductions, to ensure staff is paid appropriately.
Manage cash collections to ensure accuracy with staff and customer accounts. Includes bank deposits and getting change needed for the store.
Inventory management includes ensuring the computer records match the physical store inventory, monitoring inventory rotations, and adjusting minimu
