Aston Carter Material Planner in London, Ontario

Job Title: Material PlannerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will create detailed planning reports to ensure Production Departments meet or exceed the master schedule, proactively identify critical shortages, and coordinate with Supply Chain concerning purchase items impacting the MPS or Production Plan. This role also involves releasing and reviewing work orders, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring inventory accuracy, and incorporating new techniques into daily processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed planning reports to ensure Production Departments meet or exceed the master schedule

  • Proactively identify critical shortages to internal customers to limit impacts to the schedule and assist in creating mitigation plans

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain concerning purchase items with impact to the MPS or Production Plan

  • Release and review work orders to meet production plans ensuring adequate material quantities are available

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams the break-in points of engineering and manufacturing changes

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through reporting and monitoring across multiple facilities

  • Incorporate new techniques/tools into daily process

  • Create and maintain desktop procedures

Essential Skills

  • Experience in Production scheduling and planning

  • Proficiency in Supply chain management

  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Strong inventory management skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with Oracle

  • APICS certification

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Materials & Operations Management or Business

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

Work Environment

The role is on-site 5 days a week in an office setting within a manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.79 - $31.73/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in London,ON.
