This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Project Manager to work in Los Angeles, or immediate area.
Your Impact
Serve in an Assistant Project Manager role on mega infrastructure projects delivered via various delivery methods
Develop Project Management Plans to include Program Controls, Document Control, Design Management, Risk Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, and Environmental Compliance
Responsible for independent review of project progress
Review and strategize improvement to key operational performance metrics
Support and empower staff and direct reports to execute project assignments on time and on budget
Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, agencies, partner firms and sub-consultants, as well as other external stakeholders such as vendors and suppliers.
Lead staff development which includes mentoring, training, coaching and professional development.
Oversee the discipline’s vision and mission to promote an appropriate value proposition that accounts for corporate and WSP client business strategy, governmental regulations and policies, and QA/QC in delivery.
Create a learning culture that values innovative subject matter expertise and fosters effective and continual personal development.
Collaborate with professionals and senior leadership from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready solutions for clients.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar, with experience in project management and delivery is preferred
7-10 years of relevant experience
Proficiency with infrastructure engineering principles, practices, process, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skill - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $135,100 - $165,150
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
