Maintenance Tech I Culver City, CA, USA Req #414 Monday, November 18, 2024 U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management services firm, is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support the operations in its Culver City, CA area location. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: With and without supervision, performs maintenance and repairs applying skills in the following area(s): basic electrical, basic plumbing, and entry-level HVAC. DUTIES: Clean and prepare equipment for inspection; make periodic inspections of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems as established by the facility operational procedures; repair or replace broken or worn machinery parts. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing comprehensive preventive maintenance procedures. Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested, and completing work orders per instruction. Adjust equipment and systems with a view toward conserving energy. Maintain operating logs on all equipment; record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences. Perform all duties in a safe manner, follow all safety procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. Must be flexible in work schedule to work weekends when needed. Willingly perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as requested. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. Preferred maintenance experience in one of the following trades or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience: Industrial Facility Maintenance, Industrial HVAC/ Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair. Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher. Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check and substance abuse test. This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules. Physical Requirements: Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement. Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday. Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday. Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during the workday. Requires ability to read and understand the information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, to send/receive messages, and to prepare documents. Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other U.S. Facilities, Inc., customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations. Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full office suite. Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
