University of Louisville Dental Receptionist (Dental Call Center Department) in Louisville, Kentucky
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade 1 (Hourly)Position Description:The University of Louisville School of Dentistry prepares students for a career in Dentistry. Dental Clinic Staff are an integral part of that preparation in that they facilitate the interface between student providers and their patients during a critical time in their studies, within the clinic setting. While their first two years is spent in a traditional classroom setting, student providers spend their last two years in a dental clinic setting learning hands on. All Dental Clinic Associates (DCA) directly support the work of the students as they progress towards completion of their clinical requirements. Works with faculty, peers and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care within the DMD clinics.As a first point of contact, Call Center Dental Receptionists deliver customer service to our patient population via telephone.Eligible for $3,000 sign-on bonus/retention Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with faculty, peers and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care within the DMD clinics.Participates with a team in the delivery of customer service via telephone.Discern the needs of callers and address that need during first contact, if possible.Direct caller to the appropriate area when necessary.Make decisions independently according to protocol.Make appointments for patients of record, when appropriate.Register new patients, collecting demographic information.Collect and verify patient insurance information.
