Position Description:

Assists with the development and implementation of special events. Facilitates production of events by communicating with vendors, guests, internal staff and customers.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Answer phones, return voicemails, greet walk-ins, reply to emails, send & follow up on room contracts. Collect payments following University guidelines on handling credit cards, cash, and checks.

  • Maintain the reservations books, door signs, weekly reports. Be comfortable with software programs needed to complete essential job functions. AV, learn and operate sound & video systems, laptops, and other required equipment.

  • Interact with set-up team to ensure they have the correct details, help with set-ups, preparing and clean event space when required. Operate within our team to make the best events for our clients using a sales attitude and working efficiently.

  • Greet customers, answer questions, give tours, meet with clients to plan event details, and document. Help in operations at Hance Chapel will sit in on memorial events, weddings, lectures, etc
