Job Description:

The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience driving heavy vehicles, excellent knowledge of safety regulations, and a strong commitment to ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining company standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Safely and efficiently operate various types of trucks, including stake body, enclosed vans, and dump trucks to transport construction materials and equipment.

  • Inspect and maintain the assigned vehicle(s) for safety and compliance with regulations before and after each trip.

  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries to job sites.

  • Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.

  • General warehouse skills and willingness to load and unload tools, ladders, gang boxes, etc. from and to job sites, maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, and assist with shipping and receiving material.

  • Collaborate with project site managers and crew members to coordinate delivery schedules and site access.

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and compliance paperwork.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to uphold a safe work environment.

  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks.

  • Communicate any road or weather-related issues to management as they arise.

  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork, ambition, dependable, accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.

  • Basic computer skills, accurate data entry skills, math & mechanical aptitude, basic reading skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

  • Five years of experience driving trucks in a construction or related environment preferred.

  • Computer skills to check in/out

  • Knowledge of local and state traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Ability to operate machinery as needed (e.g., forklifts, lifts).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading materials.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

May work with or around typical construction materials and chemicals that require knowledge of safety data sheets.
