Actalent Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Macon, Georgia
Actalent Services is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for a large Engineering & Architecture Firm
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical building systems for industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on designing efficient, safe, and sustainable industrial spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical design process for industrial facility projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall facility designs
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and ensure designs are feasible and meet client requirements
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed
Ensure all designs are optimized for energy efficiency and sustainability
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and design team members
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on industrial facility design
Proficiency in Revit software, and other design tools
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and their application in industrial settings
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in project management and leadership
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
