Local Delivery Driver – CDL
1st shift (M-F) 6am-2:30pm
Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for delivery of product to customers/job sites.
70% Material Handler
30% Truck Driver
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Transport and deliver units to customer's warehouse or job sites
Transport and deliver vinyl profile between Extrusion and Fabrication plants
Maintain electronic log book
Pick and load profile stock as required for production needs
Unload profile material and stage in receiving area
Move profile material from warehouse to production floor using forklift
Keep assigned work area, box utility truck and semi-truck clean at all times
Maintain computerized inventory system by transferring material from one location to another using handheld computer
Complete any other job-related duties required and/or assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
High School diploma/GED (minimum)
Commercial Driver’s License required.
Job requires frequent lifting and/or moving of 75 or greater pounds using proper lifting and/or moving techniques
Ability to use hands and fingers to key, feel or handle items
Job requires stooping, bending and kneeling
Must have good organizational skills and communication skills, both oral and written, and have ability to carry out detailed instructions, both oral and written
Must have good computer skills and have ability to learn software programs (i.e. ADC, BPCS, and Microsoft Office programs)
Must be able to pass DOT alcohol, drug and medical exams
Be vigilant about safety
