Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (90-Day Contract)
Location: Madison, WI (100% Onsite)
Job Type: Contract – 90 Days (Potential for Extension)
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a 90-day contract to support our team in Madison, WI. This role is 100% onsite and has the potential for extension based on project needs and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end close activities related to AP
Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation
Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Great Plains, JDE, or similar)
Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice matching, and reconciliations
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a high-volume AP environment
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Business Central is a plus
Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
