Job Summary
The Land Electronics Quality Team in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector (Receiving) to conduct detailed inspections of products, components, and assemblies to verify adherence to engineering designs and purchase order specifications, ensuring overall product quality and conformance.
Job Responsibilities
Perform inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings and PO requirements
Inspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements.
Assist Quality Engineers with identifying non-conforming conditions of products that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assembly.
Assist Quality Engineers prepare inspection plans and checklists for inspection.
Assist Quality Engineers with data collection and root cause analysis investigations.
Perform material movement transactions after completing inspection process.
May specialize in receiving inspection, and in-process inspection,
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Strong attention to detail to perform thorough inspections and identify non-conformances.
Knowledge of quality control procedures, processes, and best practices
Use electronic software to process accepted and/or rejected material
Validates the quality of purchased BOM materials based on set acceptance criteria
Ensure nonconforming material is properly segregated according to procedures and controlled until properly dispositioned
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general PC skills to support documentation and data management tasks
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
In-depth knowledge of electrical receiving inspection experience.
Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, go/no-go gauges, etc.) to verify part compliance.
Experience reading drawings and able to verify parts
IPC-A-610 Certified
IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified
AS9102 FAIR Knowledgeable
Maintain ESD integrity within production environment where necessary
Maintain a clean safe work environment and contribute to the 6S program and Lean concepts
Communicating results, and necessary escalations to supervisors effectively
