Patz Corporation IT MANAGER in Menominee, Michigan
*Position is located 22 miles West of Menominee in Pound, WI.*
Essential Job Duties:
- Lead the IT department's operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning and implementing projects, organizing and negotiating allocation of resources.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and office automation equipment.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- In conformance with policies, operating controls, accounting principles, advanced mathematical logic and computer theory, direct, coordinate and supervise the overall functions of the IT Department.
- Formulate and supervise departmental procedures and controls, e.g. Program documentation, library activities, records and filing systems, schedules, cost controls, etc.
- Responsible for the preparation and successful implementation of a Disaster Control Plan for all data processing related activities.
- Prepare periodic reports concerning operations, production, downtime, equipment service and repair.
- Directly maintain satisfaction as to the department's need in the areas of staffing and training requirements.
- Administer work rules, disciplinary actions and assist with internal corporate programs, e.g. communications, employee improvement, cost reductions, etc.
- Appraise employee performance and recommend change of status and salary adjustments.
- Directs and coordinates all activities of the IT Department Staff.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
- Ability to apply concepts or basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
