Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the construction/contractor industry, based in Merrillville, Indiana. As a Bookkeeper, you will be handling a variety of accounting and financial tasks, ensuring the accuracy and promptness of company financial management.
Responsibilities:
• Handle processing of complete in-house payroll for employees on a weekly basis using QuickBooks
• Manage and maintain both vendor and customer accounts
• Efficiently process invoices, payments, and receipts
• Conduct regular reconciliation of all bank accounts to maintain financial accuracy
• Maintain and balance the general ledger with accurate and up-to-date entries
• Prepare and record journal entries, generate financial reports, and provide insights into financial data
• Handle inquiries and provide exceptional service to both clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure all financial data is accurately and efficiently entered
• Utilize Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and QuickBooks to analyze data and provide insights.
The base pay range for this role is between 60K – 62K and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs 100% medical paid for employee and family, Vacation and sick time offered
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Strong Bookkeeping skills
• Excellent Data Entry abilities
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close processes
• Knowledge of Payroll procedures
• Competency in using QuickBooks software
