Overview

The Quality Platform Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing robust frameworks that secure and govern data across platforms, ensuring compliance with company standards. They develop tools for data validation, metadata management, and quality monitoring to maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and traceability. This role also involves collaborating with teammates to align quality frameworks with organizational needs and driving continuous improvement initiatives for platform-wide data quality and security.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Frameworks

  • Design and implement security frameworks that protect data from unauthorized access and breaches.

  • Integrate security measures into data processing frameworks, including encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.

  • Ensure frameworks comply with company data protection standards.

  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities within the frameworks.

  • Support the development of incident response frameworks to handle data breaches and other security incidents.

Data Governance Frameworks

  • Develop frameworks that enforce data governance policies and procedures.

  • Create tools and frameworks that assist data stewards in managing data assets.

  • Develop frameworks for managing metadata to ensure data is well-documented and easily accessible.

  • Implement frameworks that track and document data lineage to ensure transparency and traceability.

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure governance frameworks meet organizational needs.

Data Quality Frameworks

  • Develop frameworks that enforce data quality standards and metrics.

  • Create tools for data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Develop frameworks for data cleansing to remove inaccuracies and inconsistencies.

  • Implement monitoring tools to track data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing data quality frameworks over time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education

  • 2 plus years in an application development or comparable experience

  • Experience developing and supporting production applications including limited experience coordinating and leading development teams/projects

  • Experience working in large complex technology projects including those with offshore teams

  • Strong team player with ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a variety of functions as well as able to work independently

  • Excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, mathematic, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to develop and manage an action plan including strong attention to detail

  • Ability to demonstrate the Agile delivery values of Openness, Commitment, Respect, Courage, and Focus

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
