E Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00 pm - 3:00 am
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Must have a good understanding of the following skills or be pursuing them through formal inside or outside education.
- Safety Procedures and Programs.
- ISO9001.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good math and computer skills.
- Must be multiple tasks oriented.
- Must be able to use critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment to make sound decisions.
- Must be able to solve problems using Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Elevate the processes using the tools and techniques of Continuous Improvement.
PRIMARY DUTIES
:
The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:
Operate roll pack machine producing an acceptable package of rolled innersprings meeting or exceeding the minimum acceptable level of output.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process and the system.
- Conduct Quality checks to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide suggestions to improve the product or process.
- Identify and control nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
**Responsibilities:
1. Safety
- Understand and comply with all safety rules.
- Understand and comply with all OSHA regulations and programs.
- Report all accidents, no matter how minor, immediately.
- Report any unsafe conditions in the work area.
- Report any unsafe acts.
- Always wear proper PPE.
- Keep work area clean and free of any hazards.
Quality
- Perform all quality checks and document the results.
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure.
- Identify non-conforming products and or raw materials.
- Accept the individual responsibility for the quality of the products and process you perform.
- Make suggestions to improve the quality of the product and process.
- Communicate with coaches and managers any issues needing to be addressed.
Production
- Operate the Roll Pack machine.
- Learn and use touch screen to enter the recipes for each package of innersprings.
- Maintain proper procedures to identify and tag rolls and pallets of innersprings as required.
- Perform paper roll changes.
- Conduct minor autonomous maintenance activities.
- Maintain the shadow boards of essential tools and equipment.
- Manually move full and empty carts in the work area as needed.
- Must be able to drive a powered industrial vehicle (fork lift or similar vehicle)
General
- Work with EOJ Trainers to acquire additional skills.
- Maintain TPM Standards for cleanliness of the Roll Pack Machine.
- Keep work area clean and free of debris.
- Adhere to the attendance policy.
- Understand and follow all work rules.
- Meet and exceed professional standards set by Leggett and Platt.
Rate of Pay: $16.30/hr + Production Incentive E shift + $1.00/hour shift premium
W shift + 4 hours pay for working complete 12 hours shits
