NVIDIA is leading technology transformation with rapid growth in the EMEA/APAC region. We are looking for a full-spectrum IT deployment engineer to lead various projects. The ideal candidate should have a broad technical understanding of network, compute, and structured cable design and operation. This individual will be the main point of contact for our internal collaborators and customers in the region.
What You'll Be Doing:
Be the domain expert in charge of all build deployments in the region.
Serve as a liaison and strengthen partnerships with our internal customers.
Understand and translate business demands into quantifiable scopes of work for execution.
Assist in gathering and generating estimates and final Bills of Materials (BOM) for projects.
Apply, improve, and automate standard work processes and procedures for deployments.
Build Requests for Proposal (RFP), solicit, review, and award bids from external professional service providers and contracting companies for physical deployments.
Collaborate with the TPM and serve as a domain expert to coordinate and lead all aspects of project success.
Ensure the project meets specifications and standards.
Assemble and/or build standard deployment packages, including punch walk checklists, rack elevations, wire-maps, deployment runbooks, etc.
Track and record all scope changes.
What We Need To See:
Capable of making decisions and working with minimal direction.
Proficient in excelling both as an individual contributor and as a great teammate, and an advocate for driving continuous innovation and automation.
Diligent and ability to articulate customer needs into defined scopes and actions.
Highly meticulous and skilled in documentation, asset tracking, project management, and procedural workflows.
Extensive knowledge with site deployments (office/lab/datacenter) covering both physical and logical aspects.
Strong understanding of network and cabling design, including high-level design, device roles, ACL, and cable & optic mediums.
Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, especially in liquid-cooled environments.
Work collaboratively with peers to improve efficient multi-functional workflow.
8+ years’ experience as a project lead handling critical infrastructure in a datacenter/production environment.
Experienced in vendor management and negotiations.
BS or higher degree in Computer Science/ Engineering .
Ways to stand out of the crowd:
Past experiences as outsource consultant or professional service provider for external customer.
Working experiences with high-density compute datacenter with OCP and/or liquid cooling.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize projects in a highly multifaceted environment.
Can-do attitude, welcome to feedback/input for learning and refinement.
Certification in network architect or design.
