Job Description Summary

The Marketing Director DACH is responsible for developing, executing and sustaining the GE HealthCare strategic initiatives across the segments. This involves identifying, evaluating and prioritizing growth opportunities, building the long-term strategy and leading the activation of the strategy through the establishment of growth programs and initiatives that will be driven in partnership with the Commercial & Segment teams.

This role also drives alignment around market trends & share performance, competitive insights and opportunities for investment. Within this responsibility, this role has leadership for the management of the marketing budget and of the marketing team within DACH.

The Marketing Director is a pivotal role within the leadership team, requiring a mature and senior profile with strong leadership and influencing skills, clear thinking and an ability to solve multi-dimensional problems.

This position reports to the Strategy & Growth Leader, Western Europe and Francophone Africa, and has a dotted reporting line to the General Managers Germany and ACH.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Create an integrated marketing plan across GE HealthCare’s business segments for the Commercial territories Germany and Switzerland/Austria (incorporating KPIs like generated leads, market impact and awareness)

  • Identify and evaluate market, clinical, customer and competitive trends, within DACH that will influence the commercial strategy for GE HealthCare

  • Lead the definition of the DACH strategy for business growth, go to market enhancement, business model innovation and new solution development

  • Establish and drive growth & marketing programs across DACH to activate and operationalize the strategy, in partnership with commercial teams; drive high quality marketing activities (omnichannel, digital, events) with the goal to grow funnel through qualified leads

  • Collaborate with segments on identifying portfolio priorities for DACH by continually evaluating customer needs

  • Own KOL and thought leadership objectives and programs for DACH

  • Partner with regional modalities, zones, institutional leadership & commercial teams to support execution of key initiatives

  • Lead and develop the events and marcom team to a high performing team with the objective of making them an integral part of the customer activation channel continuum

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Based on a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, you have gained significant experience in field marketing or product marketing and Omnichannel Marketing planning & activation

  • You have a proven experience in the DACH Healthcare market

  • You have gained prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports with demonstrated team orientation & ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams in matrixed settings

  • You bring proven leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and a marketing strategy

  • You are able to analyze & assess macro trends and broader implications to healthcare and translate into strategic recommendations

  • You have the demonstrated ability to plan, lead, market, and execute programs

  • You bring a proven operational mindset and ability to translate strategy into action, with strong sense of urgency to drive outcomes with speed and efficiency

  • Your oral and written communications skills in English and German are excellent
