Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Operational Care Import VAS Team Leader in Narita, Chiba, Japan
You will be part of our Import VAS team, adding your (leadership) expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence.
Your Role
Your primary objective will be to lead our Pick-up and Delivery Operations with your team, in order to drive Customer Satisfaction and Profitability. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.
Your Responsibilities
To manage transport operations across the Japan domestic distribution network in accordance with the overall strategic plan for Kuehne+ Nagel Japan. This includes import delivery, export pick up, line haul and special commodities (pharma, DG, air-ride, lower bed etc.).
To ensure a safe, compliant and efficient operation for road transport nationally.
To manage performance to achieve agreed client service levels and cost control within budgetary requirements.
To analyze Kuehne+Nagel's national road transport needs and implement strategic strategies to ensure sustainability.
To ensure road transport activities of Kuehne+Nagel are compliant and are in line with standard rules and regulations of the local road transport authorities, in cooperation with the Legal & Compliance team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: joining customer meetings, vendor management, KPI reviews, project implementation, SOPs.
Your Skills and Experiences
Your strong leadership skills + knowledge of vendor management, along with your stakeholder relationships will be the key to your success.
