Robert Half Staff Accountant in Naugatuck, Connecticut
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in NAUGATUCK, Connecticut. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating various aspects of our accounts payable and receivable. Your responsibilities will also include bank reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinating the accounts payable (AP) functions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices
• Managing and maintaining the accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely collection
• Assisting with monthly closing procedures and journal entries
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
• Maintaining and updating the general ledger on a regular basis
• Utilizing various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient accounting operations
• Assisting with other accounting tasks as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of General Ledger operations
• Experience with Journal Entries and Month End Close
• Familiarity with NetSuite as an accounting platform
• Proficiency in Oracle financial software
• Experience with QuickBooks software
• Knowledge of SAP financial system
