Develop engineering and product concepts that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the needs and requirements of all stakeholders, including customers, manufacturing, material, and agency needs. Mentor others on the global discipline team where applicable, and develop mechanical components and system concepts that meet customer requirements. Architect and design mechanical solutions by analyzing performance and feasibility of alternative concepts using theory, simulations, and mathematical models. Implement and verify mechanical designs using appropriate EDA tools, deliver prototype units to customers by selecting components, procuring or fabricating models, and supervising assembly. Develop and execute mechanical design verification test plans per requirements specifications to ensure prototypes meet design requirements. Support the development and assembly of prototypes by providing documentation and assistance to ensure high-quality prototypes are built in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

Architect and design mechanical solutions by analyzing performance and feasibility of alternative concepts using theory, simulations, and mathematical models.
Implement and verify mechanical designs using appropriate EDA tools.
Deliver prototype units to customers by selecting components, procuring or fabricating models, and supervising assembly.
Develop and execute mechanical design verification test plans per requirements specifications.
Support the development and assembly of prototypes by providing documentation and assistance.
Essential Skills
Experience with SolidWorks, sheet metal, and plastic injection molding.
Experience with Creo Parametric.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
5 years of experience in mechanical design.
Intermediate cross-discipline development knowledge.
Ability to develop good working relationships with team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with both Creo Parametric and SolidWorks is desired.
Work Environment
The work environment involves working with engineering design tools and software such as SolidWorks and Creo Parametric. The position requires collaboration with a global team and the ability to mentor others. The engineer will be involved in prototype development, requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality prototypes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
