Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving process, including palletizing, labeling, and ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of parts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant experience in a job shop environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare parts for shipment, including palletizing and packaging.
Print and label parts accurately for outgoing shipments.
Manage inventory control and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks.
Use RF scanners for picking and inventory control.
Read blueprints to verify part specifications.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of recent experience in a job shop environment.
Proficiency in inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
Strong skills in packing and material handling.
Experience with pallet jacks and RF scanners.
Ability to read blueprints accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a fabrication shop or similar environment.
Knowledge of airport conveyor systems is a plus.

Work Environment
Our fabrication shop specializes in manufacturing material handling systems and airport conveyor systems. The shift is from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours from 6:30 am to 10:30 am on Fridays. Overtime is available as needed on Fridays from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm and Saturdays from 6:30 am to 12:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
