Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in New Bedford, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. The role involves managing accounts receivable for a company in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process cash applications and customer credit applications

• Ensure precise customer credit records are maintained

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, initiating appropriate actions when necessary

• Use software tools such as Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks for account reconciliation and billing processes

• Leverage Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks and data management

• Handle cash collections and commercial collections efficiently

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts receivable

• Apply a detail-oriented approach to all tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Exhibit a results-oriented mindset, striving for continuous improvement in all accounting processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, with the ability to accurately reconcile accounts in a timely manner

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), including managing, tracking, and resolving outstanding payment issues

• Demonstrated skills in Billing, with the ability to prepare and send invoices and statements to clients

• Knowledge of Cash Applications, including posting payments to the correct accounts and maintaining accurate records

• Experience in Cash Collections, including contacting customers to resolve payment issues and improve cash flow

• Proficiency in Commercial Collections, including negotiating payment plans and resolving customer disputes

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and use formulas for financial calculations

• Knowledge of Oracle financial software, with the ability to effectively manage and process financial transactions

• Experience with QuickBooks, including managing accounts, processing payments, and generating financial reports

• Familiarity with SAP software, with the ability to efficiently process financial transactions and generate reports
