Posting Summary | The Department of Psychology in the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences, New Brunswick, New Jersey invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Behavioral & Systems Neuroscience, with a start date of September 1, 2022. The candidate would complement departmental strengths in one or more of the following areas: (1) learning and memory (2) perception and sensory systems; (3) attentional processes; (4) computational modeling of neural processes; (5) affective neuroscience with a focus on emotional processing; (6) behavioral and computational genetics; (7) neuropharmacology and addiction. Further links are possible with the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science, the Center of Alcohol Studies, the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research and The Brain Health Institute. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active, extramurally-funded research program and to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching in areas such as behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, learning processes, and neuropsychopharmacology. Candidate must have a doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience or related field by the appointment date (which is September 1, 2022).
