Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK:Join our team as aBioinformatics Software Engineerin theComputational Oncology Service. We're looking for a talented and self-driven Software Engineer to help us develop the next generation of cancer research software.
Role Overview:
Develop data processing pipelines that handle large-scale, high-dimensional, and multi-modal data, such as genomic sequences, images, and clinical records.
Design, implement, and maintain data platforms for cancer genomics and imaging studies, using state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks.
Collaborate with scientists and clinicians to understand data analysis requirements and design data models and workflows that allow researchers to answer novel scientific questions.
Ensure scientific rigor and reproducibility by implementing and following the best practices in software development, code versioning, software testing and deployment.
Key Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years’ experience or Bachelors with 4+ years experience.
Proficiency in python and familiarity with R.
Experience with building and maintaining environments with pip, conda, and docker.
Experience developing bioinformatic pipelines.
