Paramount Manager, Technology Workflows & Integration in New York, New York

Overview and Responsibilities:

Paramount Global is hiring a Manager, Technology Workflows and Integration! As a Manager within the Production Technology division, you will be collaborating with a diverse group of Principal Engineers to facilitate support for all aspects of the Production environment and its services across Paramount Global.

The Manager provides technical maintenance and support for back-end production and post-production services and systems. This support, necessary for 24/7 business continuity, requires regular communication with internal clients and Engineering staff to help assess the trajectory (setup, licensing, financial decision-making) of each service. Under the umbrella of the Production Technology Systems and Workflows team, providing ongoing support of these technical services and their environment allows for a breadth of expertise across multiple technical areas and space to manage them. Paired with excellent documentation, written, and verbal communication skills, Managers are given opportunities to aid in service growth, knowledge proliferation and lifecycle planning, all while working collaboratively with a unified engineering team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support and maintain archival LTO systems (Spectra, Quantum Scalar)

Support and maintain Atempo miria infrastructure for archive and/or data transfer

Support and maintain transcode environments (Telestream Vantage, Content Agent)

Support and maintain visual and automated QC environment (Colorfront QC, Iris Anywhere, Baton QC)

Track licensing and system renewals for Archive/Transcode services

Support file delivery needs on behalf of clients by interacting with IT resources

Troubleshoot, brainstorm and coordinate with other team members to help resolve various technical Post Production related issues.

Make recommendations to management around business viability of existing services, as well as suggestions on possible value engineering.

Recommend workflow changes or improvements that streamline customer work or potentially save the company money.

Basic Qualifications:

7+ Years working within a Broadcast Media Production environment

Deep understanding of broadcast level Media Production Workflows and Systems: Ingest, Transcode, Edit, Delivery, Archive

Understanding of automated QC platforms, corporate network environments, and terrestrial vs cloud-based tools.

Additional Qualifications:

Strong experience and understanding of technical documentation

Strong familiarity with broadcast standards: SMPTE 709/2020, SMPTE 2110, HD/UHD, as well as supporting various social/multi-platform post-production and delivery standards.

Strong troubleshooting skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $115,000.00 - 140,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
