PSEG operates under a Flexible Work Model where flexible work is offered when job requirements allow. In support of this model, roles have been categorized into one of four work location categories:

Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

Supporting PSEG, ID Admin Team and Information Technology team with administering access for the entire company up to and including creating LAN ID’s and other Identity and Access Management. Will be expected to build relationships with clients, including vice presidents, and leverage those relationships to ensure effective delivery of access to multiple systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide all aspects of ID Related incidents and Request processing, Entitlement/Audit Reviews, SOX control reporting, Application access and assisting suppliers in automation activities.

  • Monitor support team ITSM queues to ensure prioritized, timely resolution and completion of all records.

  • Identify, assist and coordinates with ID Admin team, IT managers and vendors to resolve complex malfunctions and network problems as well as manage and communicate problem resolution and system restoration status during unplanned outage events to LOB and IT Senior Management.

  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures for the network, technical specifications and documents, drawings and system documentation, and operating manuals.

  • Comply to ITSM/ITIL process such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Request Management, CMDB, KEDB

  • Work with infrastructure and application project teams to ensure solutions are aligned with acceptable support requirements, and that the transition and delivery of new or upgraded systems are seamlessly moved to production support teams and suppliers.

  • Participate in the Management of the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for all scorecard and LOS applications including updating of the DR plan, as well as periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency.

  • Assisting the development and manage the preventive maintenance programs for Infrastructure systems including patching, upgrades, tuning and performance management.

  • Provide subject matter expertise for the core technologies and processes. Ensure Quality Control and Assurance procedures are consistent with Infrastructure specifications, client requirements and corporate policies.

  • Comply with all NERC CIP and regulatory guidelines and standards. Comply with cyber security- related and other vulnerabilities as identified by the IT security team.

  • Identify continuous improvement areas and come up with new initiatives to enhance infrastructure support.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information/Computer Security, Engineering or a related STEM discipline with a minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Level of experience required ranges from internship to 4 years of relevant experience within the IT field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.

  • Overall strong technical proficiency in information technology/computer disciplines with strong MS Office skills

  • Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.

  • Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff.

  • Understanding of general IT standards, policies, best practices, guidelines, processes.

  • Good communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation; teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with internal clients from various business organizations and lines of business, and IT management and staff.

  • Ability to work in a 24x7 environment with callout availability required by acting as an escalation point to take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution

Desired:

  • Knowledgeable of Infrastructure support as well as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and overall understanding of Infrastructure components.

  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence functions, applications, and system & technology alternatives

  • Knowledge in infrastructure design, implementation and support

  • Knowledge supporting applications related to Utility power plants monitoring and maintenance

  • Knowledge supporting real-time utility operations

  • Knowledge with LAN Security processes
