Job Title: Marine Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician with a minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably from the Navy, who has hands-on experience working on ships pulling cable and wiring panels. The position involves working under Amsec, the prime contractor, and requires travel throughout the US.
Responsibilities
Remove old cabling systems and install new ones, including Fiber Optics.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Maintain and manage the necessary tools and equipment for the job.
Essential Skills
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Marine Electrician or Electronic Technician.
Experience working on ships, pulling cables, and wiring panels.
Proficiency in installing and maintaining Fiber Optic systems.
Must possess and use a hard hat, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience working on a ship.

Work Environment
Work will be conducted in shipyards such as BAE Shipyard in Norfolk and other locations on the Southside. The role requires travel for different project assignments. Safety gear, including hard hats, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses, is mandatory.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
