Carleton College Enterprise Application Developer in Northfield, Minnesota
Compensation: The expected starting salary range for this position is between $74,000 and $78,100. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. Position Overview: This position in the Development and Alumni Relations division will be part of the Development Information Systems team that administers and supports one of the enterprise applications at Carleton College, Slate Advancement. This position encompasses a portfolio of duties from database maintenance, solution engineering, integrations, reporting, and user support. There will be opportunity to work in a modern CRM with new tools and APIs as a new Advancement CRM implementation initiative was launched in fall 2024. They will enjoy working closely with many campus partners, as well as Development Information Systems staff, to consult and participate in the implementation of Technolutions Slate Advancement CRM, including new enhancements and programmatic solutions. The objectives of the division and college must be considered in this role and requires demonstrated capacity to provide correct and precise management and support for data stewardship, application development, and superior teamwork. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Administer and provide support for assigned applications. Applications are currently a blend of on-premise and cloud deployments. Devise and maintain database architecture to meet organizational and functional needs. Provide technical expertise and application administration for the implementation and maintenance of Slate Advancement CRM Participate in creating and maintaining the user interface, dashboards, KPI metrics, portals, and reporting solutions that meet the functional requirements. Assist in determining data requirements to support organizational initiatives and seek out efficiencies utilizing the environment s functionality and business processes Troubleshoot problems in a variety of computing environments and devices including Cloud, Windows OS, and other on-premise applications Enhance and maintain data integrity through identification and procedures detecting data abnormalities and enforcing data standards. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations as identified and required for seamless 2-way processing from the Advancement enterprise application with other systems. This position is a part of the college s integrations team. Work collaboratively and effectively with external volunteers, external vendor technical support, administrators, team members, and campus partners to ensure successful product development, data accuracy, access, and deployment of high-performance information systems to support the continued success of our programs and mission. Understanding of API, Native query/SQL, Amazon web services, HTML, and CSS Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting all milestones as required. Cross train and provide team-based backup support for all functions of Development Systems Team Describe Supervision Received and Exercised: This position relies on professionalism and independent judgment in making decisions and suggestions that are in the best interest of the Development and Alumni Relations division and Carleton College.
