Are you ready to make a real difference in people's lives? Mainstay Supportive Housing and Home Care, Inc. is actively seeking individuals who are kind, friendly, caring, and dependable to join us as aPart-Time Weekend Residential Support Specialist. This entry-level position offers the rewarding opportunity to provide 1-hour blocks of 1:1 care for supportive housing residents in Norwood, MA, contributing to the well-being of individuals by helping them with activities of daily living.

We have weekend shifts available, 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM to accommodate your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging Interactions:Have fun, upbeat, and genuine interactions with residents, staff, property management, and family members.

  • Companionship:Provide companionship to residents through mindful and fun recreational activities during daily visits.

  • Life Skills Coaching:Coach residents in completing Activities of Daily Living, including medication reminders, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping.

  • Documentation:Maintain daily service logs and track progress of the residents' care plan goals.

  • Meal Preparation:Prepare dinner for/with residents and follow the correct meal plan.

  • Communication:Report any health or behavioral status changes of the resident to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.

  • Compassion:No prior experience required. If you have the right skills and personality characteristics, we encourage you to apply!

  • Driver's License:Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

  • Certifications:CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment).
