Responsibilities
While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984. RS&H's Transportation-Construction Management Practice serves numerous state departments of transportation, mobility/transportation authorities, turnpike/toll authorities, rail/port authorities, municipal/county governments, and private clients throughout the United States. Our Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI) teams as well as our Construction Management teams are industry leading experts who provide a full range of construction engineering, program management, specialized testing, and inspection services from the preconstruction phase through maintenance and operations. Qualifications
We are seeking a Construction Manager for our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) Practice in the Novi, MI area. The Construction Manager will help manage and administer roadway and bridge transportation construction projects as well as the internal workings of a satellite office. Responsible for project management, contract administration, review and interpretation of plans, specification, and other construction contract documents, monitor scope, schedule and budgets, prepare and process work orders; mentor, supervise and assign work to subordinate staff members while enforcing the practices, methods and procedures of a professional work environment. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program with 7+ years experience or High School Diploma or GED with 10 years relevant experience A minimum of 7-10 years' experience with major road or bridge construction inspectionA minimum of 4 years experience with MDOT contract specificationsAbility to manage construction inspection activities on a wide variety of roadway and bridge construction projects.Knowledge of material testing procedures and testing equipmentAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to manage construction inspection activities on a wide variety of roadway and bridge construction projectsGood driving recordAbility to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist or stoop frequently and for prolonged periodsAbility to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasksAbility to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protectionAbility to lift and/or move you to 50 poundsPreferred Qualifications:Licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan or the ability to obtain a license within 6 monthsCertified Construction Manager (CCM) certificationAll MDOT Material CertificationsOSHA 10 hourBenefits:Paid Vacation, Personal Time Off, and Holiday Pay401(k) with Company MatchMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCertification and Licensure SupportCareer Advancement OpportunitiesPet InsuranceCellphone StipendCompany VehicleAnd much more!#LI-KZ1If this sounds like the role for you and you're
