Cummins Inc. Power Generation Field Service Technician in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Oak Creek, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completing repair activities on generators or components

  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

  • Maintain detailed records of service

  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

  • Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.

(Intermediate):

Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.

Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.

Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is a remote Field Service Power Generation technician position working out of the Oak Creek WI location servicing southeastern Wisconsin out to Madison. Hiring for someone who displays good safety culture and is looking for an opportunity to train and grow their skillsets. This position does involve periodic on-call weeks alternating with other technicians.

  • A current valid license is required for this role

  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience

  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
