Continental Resources Staff Accountant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Job Summary
Responsibilities are moderately complex, requiring a more developed proficiency in various accounting techniques. Professional accounting position that is responsible for joint interest billing processes related to inside operated properties. Serves as a resource for team members with less experience, contributing to projects within a team, function, or work group.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing, analyzing, and booking various allocations, including labor, mileage, company-owned equipment, and others, to the joint account in alignment with COPAS guidelines.
Preparing, analyzing, and booking journal entries needed to bill inside and outside operated wells for monthly water disposal and delivery expenses.
Analyze and process working interest owner cash calls on inside operated wells.
Set up account receivables for well-related refunds.
Posting of corrections of well expenses as needed.
Posting of any necessary accruals for month-end.
Handling phone calls and emails with concerns and requests from Joint Venture partners and saltwater customers.
Review, approve, and reconcile employee credit card charges, and process reimbursements.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
Experience with MS Excel
An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
Oil and gas accounting experience preferred
Working knowledge of SAP
Proficiency in MS Word
