Aerotek Field Service Technician in Omaha, Nebraska

Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

Responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site equipment inspections and maintenance at customer locations.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues in the field and perform necessary repairs.

  • Collaborate with Service Manager to schedule and prioritize field service calls.

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.

  • Build knowledge of dealer-supported product lines, service standards, and procedures, keeping abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment while working in the field.

  • Maintain remote parts inventory.

  • Willingness for overnight travel, including some multi-day events.

  • Actively seek new business opportunities in the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with customers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy-duty chassis.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience.

  • Welding/cutting torch experience.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention to detail skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

  • This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug test.

  • Direct industry experience (desirable).

  • Class B CDL (desirable).

Work Environment

Will work in the field as long as there are calls. If no calls, will be working in the shop.

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
