NBC Universal Assistant Director, Human Resources - Universal Horror Unleashed in Orlando, Florida
Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for implementing and directing human resources functions in partnership with operational divisions to align with business objectives. Provides guidance in critical areas including fostering a positive employee relations environment, strengthening team engagement, implementing diverse recruitment strategies, quality hiring and onboarding experiences, organizational development, talent development and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review, execute and lead assigned areas on all matters related to employee relations, to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices. Ensures legal compliance and understanding of policies and processes. Investigates employee workplace situations including claims of harassment and employee performance issues.
Provides advice and consultation for all Team Members, management and front-line hourly employees on policy interpretation, EAP issues, employee conflict, etc. in alignment with UDX policies and procedures.
Develops local staffing strategies and executes plans to identify diversified talent within and outside UDX for all levels. Partners with the Entertainment division to support the strategy and execution for Audition & Casting process for Performers at UHU. Participates in the local interview process for all Performers for right-fit placement.
Leads the development and implementation of onsite training strategies, facilitating various types of training including onboarding, departmental, compliance, and leadership training.
Drives the company culture through support of Team Member services programs and activities to ensure UDX is an employer of choice within the local market. This includes implementing established diversity and inclusion programs.
Acts as liaison between management and core HR by assisting with programs or communicating information relating to payroll, records, benefits, training, compensation, management development, staffing, team member services.
Supports management in partnering their respective operation strategies to corporate culture and objectives. Supports the Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) efforts by assisting management with communication and action planning. Works with management to identify and manage the employee impact of company decisions and changes.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervise Exempt and/or Non-Exempt Team Members.

Technology : Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Experience with PageUp, SAP, Success Factors, UKG, Oracle, SharePoint, SumTotal.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Management is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years’ Human Resources experience required, with 5+ years management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Demonstrates executive presence and professional partnership with all levels of the company. Ability to collaborate and work closely with operational divisions within UDX as well as HR functions at NBCU/Comcast. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Minimal travel will be required.
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
