Description

We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This role is based in the Silicon Valley, and involves employment litigation representing victims of sexual assault, discrimination, and harassment. This position offers remote flexibility with three days in-office requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop clients' claims for direct settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and litigation

• Conduct in-depth factual and legal research

• Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, mediation statements, discovery requests, and responses, and settlement agreements

• Participate in discovery processes

• Provide legal advice to clients

• Assist and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and court hearings and conferences

• Supervise legal assistants on their cases

• Argue motions in court and conduct negotiations with opposing counsel

• Draft substantive briefs with limited input from senior attorneys.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience, including judicial clerkships.

• Prior experience in Civil Litigation required.

• Familiarity with Employment Law preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Must adhere to highest ethical standards and professional conduct.

• Must hold a valid license to practice law in California.

• Must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

• Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred.
