Child Care Center Cook Temporary Position
Hours: M-F 6am-2:30pm
This is a temporary position to run from November through February
Pay per qualifications $13.50-15.50 per hour

Vermeer Yellow Iron Academy includes a STEM lab, 2 Movement Matter Zones and large playgrounds for each age group, in addition to an abundance of equipment and materials to help make learning fun for all!

We are currently looking for a great Child Care Center Cook to bring their cooking talents and kitchen management skills to Bright Horizons/Vermeer Yellow Iron Academy . You’ll plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.

As a Cook, you will:
Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
Requirements:
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required
Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen required
Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols and to keep yourself and others safe and free from illness.

Compensation Range: 13.50-15.50
