Job DescriptionDIY Media Group is looking for an experienced HP Indigo Digital Press operator to join the BookBaby Print Shop team at our Pennsauken, NJ facility. In this role, you will operate the HP Indigo digital press to produce high-quality books for our clients. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience with an HP Indigo digital press and be passionate about safety, continual improvement, and supporting independent authors.DIY Media Group is the parent company to industry-leading brands Disc Makers and BookBaby. Perhaps best of all, we work hard at creating a positive workplace where you can be heard, where you can grow, and where you can make a difference!Salary$19.56+ per hour, depending on experienceAvailable Shifts2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2PM - 10PMThis is a 5-day, 40-hour work week with occasional overtime as business requires.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain HP Indigo digital pressPerform routine quality checks before, during, and after each job.Complete routine preventative (non-mechanical) maintenance and clean-up.Operate an electric pallet jack (training and certification provided by DIY).Always follow all safety procedures, including lock-out tag-out procedures any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement events and initiatives.Special Skills Required:Safety - Knowledge of and ability to apply basic safety rules and practicesCommunication - Must be able to take direction and read/understand written documents in EnglishMath - Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required, and knowledge of the metric system is a plusUnderstand and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers, digital calipers, tape measure is required.Have reasonable organizational skills and mechanical aptitudeEducation and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED.1-2 years’ experience with HP Indigo digital press.Physical Demand:Standing for extended periods of time, up to 100% of your working hours.The work involves extended periods of repetitive motion.Walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, gripping, and carrying up to 50 lbs.EEO Employer F/M/Vet/Disabled
