This role is within Intel CCG’s Platform Engineering Group responsible for delivering Intel client platforms. The candidate will be part of the Security and Virtualization architecture team within the Client Platform Architecture group.

The Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones. Working with our partners across the industry, we intend to deliver purposeful computing experiences that unlock people's potential - allowing each person use our products to focus, create and connect in ways that matter most to them. As the largest business unit at Intel, CCG is investing more heavily in the PC, ramping its capabilities even more aggressively, and designing the PC experience even more deliberately, including delivering a predictable cadence of leadership products. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Research, recommend, specify and document security technologies for platforms in support of organization's strategic vision.

Responsible for translating business/customer requirements into platform security and virtualization architecture encompassing hardware, software, SoCs and other components designed to support a variety of systems, solutions and applications.

Design, develop, and analyze overall platform architecture and partitioning between hardware and software to meet security and virtualization requirements of use cases and workloads in terms of performance, power, scalability, manageability, reliability, and key performance indicators.

Leads architectural governance and decisions related to product security and drive platform tradeoffs as part of a cross functional architecture decision forums.

Drive technical workstreams across Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and partners (OS Vendors/Independent Software Vendors).

Be on the leading edge of competitive landscape and adjust/align plans to changing competitive and market conditions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering

10+ years of architecture experience in defining and delivering complex solutions.

5+ Years of Security and Virtualization technology experience (driving features, HW/FW/SW solutions)

5+ years of experience leading large initiatives and working effectively in a matrixed environment.

Experience with one or more of PC client platform architecture, Platform Boot, Windows/Chrome OS/internals

Experience collaborating with one or more of CPU, BIOS/FW, AI, GPU, NPU IP architecture and engineering teams

Experience with Virtualization technologies (VT, VTd, IOMMU), Virtualization based security, Microsoft Secured Core PC related technologies

Experience writing detailed requirement documents, architecture specifications

Recognized as a technology leader/domain expert in Security and/or Virtualization

Provides technical direction for platform, SoC and component design activities.

Influences the shaping of future products/solutions by significantly contributing to the architecture and technology employed throughout the client compute platform.

Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working directly with one or more of OEMs, VMVs, OSVs, IBVs and/or ISV to bring solutions to market.

Defining and driving platform Power, thermal and performance KPIs Customers/partner testimonials viewing candidate as key Trusted technical advisor

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$214,730.00-$303,140.00

S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
