Description
We are offering a contract opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will be working in the renewable energy industry, focusing on accounting activities for the company.
Responsibilities
• Oversee technical compliance in various accounting topics under US GAAP, including derivatives, business combinations, consolidation/VIE/intercompany.
• Assist in the preparation and issuance of monthly, quarterly financial reports, as well as annual audited financial statements and tax filings.
• Supervise general accounting functions such as reconciliations, collections, accruals, fixed assets, and debt.
• Ensure that all accounting practices are compliant under the law and consistent with accounting principles.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end variance to budget and prior period analyses.
• Ensure timely submission of compliance filings including income and sales and use taxes.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective performance and detail-oriented growth.
• Implement internal controls and policies system migration and other process improvements and automation.
• Interpret complex agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Concur software
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in Billing Functions
• Knowledge of Private Equity
• Experience in Renewable Energy sector
