Job Title: Machine Technician
Job Description
This position is for a forming technician responsible for troubleshooting issues that arise during the production of cardboard boxes. The technician will be involved in setting up machines, adjusting glue points, performing minor maintenance, and ensuring that each box meets the specified forming standards.
Responsibilities
Setting up the machine
Adjusting glue points
Performing minor maintenance and preventive maintenance on the machine
Installing new tooling for new machine issues
Adjusting alignment to ensure each box meets the forming specifications
Operating in a cell of 16 different machines
Essential Skills
Machine operation
Mechanical aptitude
Experience in preventive maintenance
2 years of experience in mechanical aptitude - adjusting start/stop points
2 years of experience in preventive maintenance - greasing bearings
2 years of experience in setting up machines and changeovers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a setup technician for setting up machines
Experience as an operating technician with machine operating and minor troubleshooting skills

Work Environment
This box-making facility adheres to food-grade standards, requiring compliance with food GMPs. Employees must wear hair nets, beard nets, steel-toe shoes, and ear protection. The plant is well-lit, clean, and can be dusty. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8 hours each, with rotating schedules from 6 AM - 2 PM, 2 PM - 10 PM, and 10 PM - 6 AM. Expect to work 40-50 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
