Job Title: Material Handler 3rd Shift - $20HR
Job Description
The Material Handler for the 3rd Shift is responsible for supplying parts and materials to molding machines. This role ensures all molding machines are prepared to run, operates various equipment, and maintains accurate productivity and defect information.
Responsibilities
Supply parts and materials to molding machines.
Prepare all molding machines to run.
Set up, operate, fill, empty, and identify pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
Refill hoppers using vacuum feeders or hand fill method to ensure they don’t run empty.
Ensure all cartons and packing materials are available at workstations as needed.
Assist in operating presses, including relief, set-up, color/material changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.
Maintain general housekeeping.
Gauge, train, and assist other utilities, including providing break relief.
Ensure products are placed in designated WIP stores.
Label cartons according to labeling procedures.
Maintain routes according to the system.
Sample every tote for design intent and customer specification before sending to WIP line.
Understand WIP trigger labels, complete and sequence Production Instruction Kanbans, and set up Bead Board.
Maintain accurate productivity and defect information.
Essential Skills
Experience with plastic, forklift, production, machine operation, loading, and unloading.
Physically capable of walking for the entire work shift.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Capability to repeatedly bend and lift during the shift.
Able to wear steel-toe footwear.
Adequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license.
Ability to operate a pallet jack for product movement.
Capable of climbing ladders/stairs for material changes.
Capable of standing for the entire shift.
