The Senior Marketing Manager for Czechia, Slovakia & CEE Partner Markets is a key member of the BF Czechia, Slovakia & CEE Partner Markets leadership team, reporting to both the Senior General Manager CZ&SK and CEE Partner Markets, and the Marketing Director CEE (matrix). This role is pivotal in fostering a unified organizational culture and driving the overall marketing vision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shaping and executing the long-term brand and business strategy to achieve the company's vision and goals within the Czechia, Slovakia, and CEE Partner Markets.

  • Providing strategic leadership across all aspects of brand, portfolio, and business value creation.

  • Acting as a strategic partner to the Senior General Manager, offering insights on portfolio strategy, business development, resource allocation, and organizational priorities.

Meaningful Work From Day One

  • Leads Marketing organization in Czechia, Slovakia and CEE Partner Markets which consists of Brand and Trade marketing, BBI and Marketing Communications. Champions people development and is focused on building marketing capability and ensuring a strong talent bench and succession plan.

  • As a part of the Leadership team contributes to the cluster people and structural organizational development.

  • Drives portfolio development in the cluster, actively looking for growth opportunities, building innovation pipelines in cooperation with global and local teams.

  • As such, the role plays a key part in the long term strategic plan development, annual business planning process from brand planning to channel planning, inputting to growth and program plans and then ensuring a coherent approach and deployment in Czechia, Slovakia and CEE Partner Markets.

  • Assumes overall responsibility for developing the annual Marketing plan for the organization; for strategic market planning; market research programs; Trade Marketing activities

  • Collaborates closely with the CEE Partner Markets dedicated marketing team as well as distributors , in order to deliver annual business plans and drive long term strategy.

  • Ensures consistency of local brand activities & communication, within budget and in line with global brand strategies & standards and local business strategies and targets.

  • Oversees area marketing budget to ensure effective budget management and that all resources are effectively used to drive optimal results achieving profitable growth.

  • Works closely with Sales & Finance, acting as a bridge between the functions to action brand strategies in a way that enables efficient sales execution and drives profitable growth of prioritized brands in targeted markets, channels and key accounts.

Value creation

  • Lead the annual brand plan process for the portfolio and the brands as well as the communication strategy for Czechia, Slovakia & CEE Partner Markets

  • Develops crisp (clear, results orientated, insightful, strategically aligned and prioritized) annual objectives and strategies for the brands that are aligned to global/European strategies as well as to local business needs in Czechia, Slovakia & CEE Partner Markets.

  • Bring the brands’ propositions to life by developing compelling communication strategies and activation plans in all relevant markets.

  • Support implementation of the plans by partnering closely with direct reports, cross functional teams. And distributor partners

  • Guardian of the brand and portfolio P&Ls - optimizing strategy, investment (including A&P), pricing & promotions across channels, brands & SKU mix.

  • Actively explore NPD opportunities with the Spirit Brand portfolio.

Strategic Relationships & Partnerships

  • Active member of the Czechia, Slovakia & CEE Partner Markets Leadership Team reporting to Senior General Manager / Marketing Director CEE and helping to shape the direction and growth of the marketing department, talent and culture.

  • Develop and lead strong working relationships with internal, external and global stakeholders incl distributors across all partner markets

  • Engages marketing partners within distributors to influence & ensure strong brand understanding & passion, high levels of attention, full execution of agreed plans & actions, and consistent compliance with B-F’s marketing & responsibility guidelines.

  • Lead relationships with local and global creative and media agencies.

Drive for results

  • Work with the BBI team (Brand and Business Insights) to review all relevant research data information

  • Champion the communication agenda of the portfolio in Czechia, Slovakia and CEE Partner Markets as well as championing a test & learn approach

  • Determine business performance corrective action where necessary in conjunction with sales counterparts.

  • Influence production and global team to ensure right level of allocation for the market

  • Spend time in the trade to understand practical implementation of all marketing promotional activities and competition

Lead & Inspire

  • Day to day coaching of direct and indirect reports to develop their marketing and leadership skills and experience while providing clear direction on key priorities.

  • Support team development through on-going appreciative & constructive feedback and annual development plan.

  • Assist in the development of other employees in the B-F Organization through sharing of expertise and leading by example.

  • Act as a role model of B-F values - support a Diverse and Inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged and individuals feel connected and valued.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Need to demonstrate the ability to lead and inspire the direct team and influence the organization.

  • Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize.

  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and manage multiple markets and projects to completion by specific deadlines.

  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels with strong stakeholder awareness.

  • Excellent presentation skills and translating financial information in a clear, concise and visually appealing way.

  • Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems.

  • Superior communication skills (influencing, listening, presentations, written). Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • People Management Experience

What Makes You Unique

  • Previous experience in the cluster / matrix functions

  • Proven leadership, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities .

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering brand growth in a highly competitive environment incl. experience in working with distributors

  • Previously worked in Wine & Spirit, Luxury Goods or FMCG company with above and below the line experience (including social and digital).

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures.

  • Strong commercial acumen.

  • Able and willing to travel internationally and attend evening and weekend events when needed.

  • Knowledge of Czech/Slovak On Trade channel would be a plus
