Responsibilities:
Maintain Operational Excellence:
Manage international shipments from purchase order issuance to final delivery.
Understand and process financial components of shipments to ensure correct customer billing.
Solve operational challenges by applying industry knowledge and critical thinking.
Execute and coordinate shipments while mentoring others on customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, governmental filings, invoicing, and delivery.
Create, maintain, and update shipments in Navisphere, ensuring accurate data entry.
Provide complex pricing quotes and coach others on pricing strategies.
Monitor and ensure high data integrity, including shipment details, Incoterms, routing, and documentation.
Facilitate Relationships:
Build strong relationships with customers by providing timely responses and effective issue resolution.
Act as a key customer contact and subject matter expert in international shipping.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, agents, and vendors.
Lead by example in customer outreach, retention, and expansion efforts.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify process improvements and consultative opportunities.
Monitor customer shipment trends and their impact on processes and operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain and adhere to customer SOPs.
Identify and recommend technology solutions to improve efficiency and net revenue.
Support Sales Executives and Account Managers with customer reporting.
Take on additional duties as needed based on team or country-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in Global Forwarding.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business.
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and processes.
Excellent prioritization, multi-tasking, and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
High attention to detail, with a track record of 95%+ audit compliance.
Experience working in a diverse and inclusive team environment.
